TTFC Open Epee
July 17th we hosted an epee competition. Congratulations to Reilly for his second place finish. Thank you to everyone who attended.
Fencers are always welcome to stop in during events at the club even if they don’t compete. This can be a time to meet other fencers or help with directing or score keeping. This particular event had a fun impromptu foil round robin after the epee finals!
Foil Mask Rules for 2011-2012 Fencing Season
At the FIE (International) level of fencing a portion of the mask bib has been target in foil. In the US this target will be used at some national level competitions. The bib will NOT be target at any Local (Divisional) event, including Junior Olympic and Summer National qualifying events or NCAA Foil events in the 2011-2012 Season.

The Long and Winding Road to London 2012
A total of 212 fencers will compete across 10 events at the 2012 London Olympic Games. Due to limitations on the size of the events by the IOC, nations are no longer guaranteed an athlete in each sport – now nations and athletes have to compete against not only their countrymen, but others in their region or continent for an Olympic slot.
